St George’s and the Church of the Resurrection are working together as part of the Diocese of Lincoln’s Strategic Development Fund Revitalisation Programme, joining as one church across two locations to grow worshipping communities, deepen discipleship, and resource mission in Scunthorpe. This initiative aims to bring spiritual renewal, numerical growth, and the development of new leaders within an inclusive Anglo‑Catholic tradition.
We are now seeking an Operations Manager to ensure that the day‑to‑day life of the churches runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely—freeing ministry teams to focus on mission and discipleship.

About the Role
As part of the new Multi‑Generational Team, you will work primarily from St George’s Church while also supporting ministry at the Church of the Resurrection. Your role will be to help adults aged 18+ connect with church life, overcome barriers, and find belonging in a growing Christian community.
You will:
* Communications & Compliance
o Oversee internal and external communication, including social media and websites.
o Ensure full compliance with GDPR, Health & Safety, and other legal requirements.
o Conduct and maintain risk assessments and ensure all policies are up to date.
* Facilities & Property Management
o Ensure buildings are safe, secure, and well maintained.
o Coordinate maintenance, repairs, IT, telecoms, and contractor relationships.
o Support the development of building use and hire.
* Financial Management
o Oversee budgets, invoicing, and financial systems.
o Manage supplier contracts and utilities.
o Support fundraising strategy and donor management.
o Work alongside Church Treasurers.
* HR & Safeguarding
o Manage office staff and volunteers, including recruitment and onboarding.
o Maintain staff and volunteer records.
o Work with the Safeguarding Officer to embed safeguarding policies across all church activities.
* Planning & Strategy
o Support senior leadership with planning and implementation of new initiatives.
o Maintain the central church calendar.
o Develop and oversee logistical systems for events and services.
