The Role
You will be responsible for the accurate production of the W&F (including international client nurseries) monthly management reports and balance sheet reconciliations. You will take ownership of SOX controls and will support and develop a team of Finance Analysts.

What You Will Be Doing:
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
7. Manage a team of finance analysts.
8. Deliver timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual close for W&F sector in compliance with SOX requirements.
9. Review balance sheet reconciliations and identify risk and opportunities.
10. Work on a wide variety of projects including process improvements.
11. Timely review of client contracts
12. Provide technical accounting support to the wider Work & Family team, the Commercial Controller, and the Work & Family finance business partners.
Responsible for:
13. Leading and developing a team of finance analysts
14. Reviewing and challenging month end journal postings to ensure financial statements are true and accurate.
15. Reviewing and challenging Balance Sheet reconciliations on a monthly and quarterly basis, ensuring the process is conducted in a robust and timely manner, well understood across the team and that old balances are investigated and resolved, and risks and opportunities are highlighted.
16. Collaborating across the Work and Family teams at Bright Horizons on financial account queries and leading the accounting on new initiatives and projects
17. Identifying and implementing process improvements to ensure tasks are being done in the most efficient manner and risks are mitigated.
18. Supporting internal and external auditors
19. Managing and signing off Sox controls
20. Timely completion of client contracts
What We Are Looking For:
21. Confident in delivering accurate and timely month- and quarter-end reporting.
22. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
23. Proven track record of managing a highly motivated team.
24. Proven track record of driving process improvement
25. US GAAP and Sox control experience is desirable.
Qualifications:
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 3+ years PQE.
