Youth Support Worker

Nottinghamshire County Council – Mansfield, Gedling, Newark.


Job Summary

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic people who enjoy working with young people and have the ability to develop positive professional relationships, enable engagement in fun activities, understand the issues facing young people in today’s society and assist young people to make informed choices about their lives.


Key Responsibilities

* Develop positive professional working relationships.
* Enable young people to engage in fun activities.
* Understand the issues facing young people in today’s society.
* Assist young people to make informed choices about their lives.
* Work at times and places where young people are, recognising that this will mean working regular evenings and/or weekends within a thirty‑eight week annual opening pattern.
* Access free nationally accredited professional training.


Hours and Pattern

Hours per week: 2.5
Type of vacancy: Permanent
Work pattern: Part Time – Term Time Only
Work base: Various Countywide
Working arrangements: Hybrid


Salary

Hourly Rate £12.85 – £13.52 per hour.
