Band 5 - Salary Range $81,006 to $93,280 per annum + 12% Super + ADO

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Subdivisions Officer to join our City Growth and Development Team. We are looking for a motivated and organised individual, who is proactive and excited to contribute to Melbourne’s western growth corridor and one of Australia’s fastest growing local government areas.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the statutory processes related to subdivisions, ensuring smooth coordination of referrals and approvals from Certification through to the Statement of Compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Assessment of Applications for Subdivision Certification in accordance with relevant legislation.
* Check adequate information has been lodged and request for additional information as necessary.
* Ensure that the Practical Completion / Statement of Compliance process operates efficiently and that all planning permit and infrastructure requirements have been completed to the satisfaction of Council and the relevant servicing authorities.
* Coordinate the process for receiving DCP/ICP and Public Open Space payments, including reconciliation with the Finance Department.
* Providing specialist advice on subdivision related matters and processes as required.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
* Tertiary qualification in Planning or related discipline and/or relevant experience in the subdivision approvals field.
* Knowledge in using specialised computer programs including SPEAR.
