Fabric Technician/Handyperson - Brighton
My client is looking for a Handyperson/Fabric Technician to carry out planned and reactive maintenance in the Brighton area.
Responsibilities:
1. Carry out planned and reactive maintenance of the building fabric as required on the contract, including painting, decorating, flooring, and building works.
2. Perform minor tasks such as door lock repairs, light bulb replacements, etc.
3. Escort sub-contractors as needed.
4. Maintain the onsite maintenance log book.
5. Procure materials and equipment through Helpdesk, Supervisor, or Manager.
6. Complete FSI go tasks for works and obtain signatures/approvals from the site representative.
7. Advise the Client of minor additional works and prepare estimates via the Supervisor or Manager.
8. Attend call outs and breakdowns, diagnose faults, and carry out repairs or provide advice.
9. Communicate daily with helpdesk/Supervisor about the status of PPM and reactive tasks.
10. Be available for works outside normal hours with additional pay.
11. Adhere to the company's Health and Safety policies.
12. Undertake additional PPM/reactive duties within capabilities, such as plumbing, mechanical, or minor electrical tasks.
The role is until at least October, paying £13.50 per hour PAYE + holiday pay or £17.59 per hour.
Previous experience as a Fabric Technician/Handyperson in commercial buildings is essential.
