As Duty Manager, you will work as a Retail Assistant and receive a £2 per hour supplement for managing shifts.
Key responsibilities include:
* Have a clear focus on delivering great availability for your customers.
* Play an active role in your store to “sell a £1 & save a £1” to help drive sales.
* Deliver on all agreed actions set for you by your line manager.
* Proactively support and work with the Talking Shop Rep in your store.
* Play a part in creating an inclusive culture where everyone can be their best.
* Take a proactive approach to personal development and share your own knowledge to support up-skilling the team.
Doing the right processes and doing them right:
* Complete any actions set for you by your line manager on the back of the daily floor walk, focusing on customer experience.
* Maintain a positive approach to service, both in-store and at the doorstep, aiming to be the best place to shop.
* Follow and implement all cash handling and security policies & processes.
* Contribute to providing the best digital service by implementing all “One Best Way” processes.

Required skills & experience:
* Experience in a retail management or supervisory role is ideal but not essential.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues to deliver store tasks first time, every time.
* Plan and organize shifts, utilizing every team member.
* Provide balanced feedback to improve team performance.
* Set the pace of the team on shift by being hands-on to ensure a great store.
