Key responsibilities and duties:
1. Tocarry out precision machining of gas turbine engine components to meet repair scheme specifications, quality and production schedule requirements;
2. To be able to inspect own work;
3. To manufacture/ modify fixtures and tooling for the Machine Shop and any other departments as required;
4. To assist production engineering with tool, fixture & jig designs & implement these into repair & overhaul procedures;
5. Conduct all work in accordance with company policies, health and safety procedures, quality procedures, manufactures and customer specification and industry regulations;
6. Complete all documents related to the work being performed;
7. Set-up, machine, check and carry out final inspection of work (or production tooling), in accordance with approved documentation / data;
8. Ensure machine tools, production tooling, holding devices and equipment are safe and satisfactory to use, rectifying any unsafe conditions within the jobholder’s capability;
9. Manufacture of small component details (sleeves, in accordance with detail part drawings;
10. Provide technical guidance and assistance of custom tooling & equipment throughout the plant, including design changes and review of all Tool Service Bulletins;
11. Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance on machine tools, as defined in machine preventative maintenance log books; and
12. Adherence to our Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety Management Systems (SMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and all associated Business Manuals.

19. Completion of indentured apprenticeship as a machinist or tool maker.
20. Good level of secondary education. Able to read, write and carry out calculations accurately. Knowledge of Geometry and Trigonometry advantageous.
21. Relevant and proven machining experience, preferably (but not essentially) from and Aerospace environment.
22. Experienced in jig-boring, milling, turning, grinding (cylindrical preferred), and bench fitting.
23. Ability to read and use precision measuring equipment
24. Ability to read technical engineering drawings, both modern and older standards.
25. Able to read, follow and action approved machining and inspection in accordance with approved information and procedures.
26. Familiarity with metric and imperial measurement.
27. Able to select work-holding devices, set-up and operate machine tools competently
28. Good written and oral communication skills.

29. Proficient in the use of Navixa ERP system.
