Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Integration Engineer to join a dynamic team working on mission-critical healthcare integration projects. This role is central to enabling seamless data exchange across clinical systems, supporting interoperability, and driving digital health initiatives. You'll work closely with healthcare organisations and technology partners to design and implement robust integration solutions using industry standards such as HL7, FHIR, and DICOM.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and deploy integration solutions tailored to healthcare environments.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinical informatics, software developers, and project managers to ensure successful integration delivery.
* Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues across diverse healthcare systems and platforms.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards and emerging technologies.
* Contribute to the development of best practices and reusable integration frameworks.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Health Informatics, or a related field.
* Proven experience in healthcare system integration, including HL7 v2/v3, FHIR, CDA, and RESTful APIs.
* Strong understanding of data exchange protocols, ETL processes, and middleware platforms.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Experience with cloud-based integration platforms (e.g., Mirth Connect, Redox, InterSystems, AWS HealthLake).
* Certifications in HL7, FHIR, or other relevant interoperability standards.
* Familiarity with healthcare data privacy and cybersecurity principles (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
* Exposure to EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.
