Nottingham Children's Hospital - Head of Nursing and Professions
Nottingham Children's Hospital, part of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, is a leading specialist hospital dedicated to world-class healthcare for children and young people. We are seeking an experienced leader to join the Children's Surgery and Critical Care Directorate as the Head of Nursing and Professions.
This pivotal role involves overseeing nursing and clinical staff, ensuring high standards of care, safety, and patient experience. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Nursing and Professions for the Children's Medicine and Emergency Directorate, forming part of Nottingham Children's Hospital.
You will collaborate with the Family Health Clinical Care Group Leadership team to shape strategic service delivery, ensuring continuous improvement aligned with Trust values.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Leading and managing nursing and allied health professional teams within the Surgical and Critical Care Directorate.
2. Ensuring delivery of high-quality, compassionate, and safe patient care through clinical governance.
3. Providing expert clinical leadership and guidance to staff.
4. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop service improvements.
5. Developing relationships with healthcare professionals internally and externally.
6. Managing budgets, resources, and staffing across the Directorate.
7. Promoting a culture of learning, development, and improvement.
8. Contributing to strategic planning, policies, and clinical initiatives at Trust level.
