Inclusive Consulting is delighted to be working in partnership with a fantastic non-profit organisation to recruit a Finance Manager. This leadership role will play a vital part in managing the organisation's financial operations, supporting the Head of Finance, and developing a high-performing finance team. You will ensure the delivery of accurate and timely management accounts, provide insights into business performance, and help shape financial strategy to support the organisation's growth and impact.
Role Responsibilities
* Provide line management and mentoring to your direct reports, ensuring high standards of delivery and professional development.
* Lead on the preparation of monthly management accounts, including Group accounts and variance analysis.
* Collaborate with Service Managers and Budget Holders to strengthen financial understanding across the organisation.
* Manage treasury processes, including cashflow forecasting, to ensure effective financial control.
* Oversee monthly balance sheet reconciliations, audit preparation, and the production of year-end financial statements.
* Develop systems and processes to enhance management reporting and efficiency.
* Support budget-setting, business planning, and organisational change initiatives.
* Stay up to date with financial regulations, ensuring compliance with charity and housing sector standards.
* Deputise for the Head of Finance as required.
Person Specification
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or part-qualified/QBE with strong experience in financial management.
* Proven track record in producing management accounts, variance analysis, and reconciliations.
* Line management experience, with the ability to guide, support and manage performance effectively.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Skilled communicator, able to present complex financial information clearly to finance and non-finance colleagues.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and experienced with financial systems.
* Knowledge or experience in the charity or housing sector would be advantageous.
