Role Overview
Provides exceptional Credo and TA leadership to Oncology Medical Affairs to deliver and optimise our world leading oncological medicines to UK patients and their families. Responsible for the design, development and implementation of medical leadership, medical education, external partnerships, evidence generation, data dissemination and flawless launches. Oversees the develop and implementation plans of the medical affairs programme involving first and second line head office and field leadership

You will ensure medical affairs objectives are aligned with the goals and mission of the TA and business Serve as the patient champion to ensure delivery of value to the healthcare system. Develops and provides input to research protocols for specific projects promoting company message and value. Shapes plans for clinical trials, including protocol co-creation, staffing and budgeting as it relates to key data gaps. Implements plans for continuous improvement to create a thriving environment and culture in Medical Affairs that encourages and recognizes creativity, innovation, teamwork, risk taking and empowerment.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Portfolio Management

* Define and evolve the TA strategy in alignment with cross-functional product plans (Medical Plan).
* Lead the portfolio including pipeline products, collaborating closely with the Business Unite Director and Patient Access Leads. Influence clinical development plans to optimise patient access and outcomes in the UK.

External Representation & Partner Engagement

* Represent the therapeutic area to external stakeholders including policymakers, professional societies, and healthcare organisations.
* Build and maintain a robust Key Opinion Leader (KOL) network and foster scientific partnerships. Ensure medical representation of the company in the UK healthcare landscape.

Internal Collaboration & Leadership

* Act as the internal representative of the therapeutic area across regional and global teams. Manage Medical Leads, Field Medical Head, and other direct reports.
* Drive talent development, team performance, and foster a culture of collaboration, inclusion and high performance aligned to our revitalised medical purpose.

Operational & Organisational Oversight

* Participate in strategic planning and ensure medical-scientific integration into portfolio strategy. Manage budgets and resource allocation in coordination with Controlling and Business Planning.
* Oversee study protocols, safety assessments, issue management, and compliance. Promote continuous professional development and uphold medical-scientific excellence. Proactively creates a purpose driven environment by aligning Johnson & Johnson's Credo and Leadership Imperatives with the strategies and goals of the team and enterprise.

Qualifications & Experience

* Medical degree (MD) or equivalent with specialisation in Oncology or scientific degree with extensive experience in leading oncology medical affairs teams
* Masters Degree/MBA - Preferred
* Final Signatory – Desirable

Experience

* Significant Oncology experience and consistent track record in the pharmaceutical industry.
* Demonstrated leadership experience and skilled in working within cross-functional and matrix organisations.
* Strong business insight and understanding of pharmaceutical business models.
