I am pleased to be exclusively supporting a long-standing client to recruit an Interim Financial Controller for a 12-month period to be based at their head office in Chelmsford, Essex.
You will be responsible for the smooth running of the day-to-day finance function, reporting into the Finance Director, and managing a medium size team.
The main purpose of the role is to optimise the finance team and develop robust financial controls and disciplines across each operating company within the group, whilst ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of the company’s management reporting, as well as ensuring compliance with all year-end statutory obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production of monthly management information and consolidation of management accounts to deliver into the Finance Director and SLT
2. Management of a medium size finance team
3. Cashflow management and reporting
4. Finalising year end statutory accounts and leading the year end audit
5. Ensure robust processes and controls are in place
6. First port of call on all taxation queries and needs
7. Production of the annual budgeting / forecasting
Candidate Profile:
8. Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
9. Significant experience in a similar role
10. Strong on all technical accounting
11. Must have worked with a high level SLT
12. Strong communication skills across all levels of relationships
