Offer description

Aureos are looking for an Insurance Officer who has experience of the Construction industry to maintain the Group’s multi-million pound Insurance and Employee Benefit portfolio across various jurisdictions in engineering and technical sectors, providing technical advice, financial analysis and administration.


Key responsibilities

* Work with the GC to ensure the portfolio continues to meet the Group’s needs and adequately mitigate its risk exposure.
* Interact and communicate effectively with all insurance brokers on a day-to-day basis, interpreting the advice and support they give in order to advise and inform internal stakeholders, so allowing the GC to focus on the premium and policy coverage negotiations.
* Co-ordinate the annual renewal process, collation of exposure data from internal stakeholders and information requests from the insurance brokers in a timely manner, enabling the GC to focus on the strategic development of the portfolio and presentation to the underwriters.
* Ensure all policy documentation is correct, filed, made available to internal stakeholders across the world and respond in a timely and accurate manner to all enquiries on policy coverage and compliance with statutory and contractual obligations, obtaining technical support from the brokers as necessary.
* Manage the internal claims process, liaising with the internal Fleet, HSWE and HR Teams to ensure timely provision of information to external brokers and claims management professionals.
* Audit all invoices to ensure correct, obtain approvals, process for payment and provide proof of payments to brokers in a timely manner.
* Collation of information from the Group’s offices across the world and the preparation of financial and analytical reports for the Board, internal stakeholders and to brokers to meet the weekly/monthly reporting demands of certain policies.
* Develop and maintain internal documentation (including procedures, forms and policy schedules) for effective management of the Group’s insurance programme.
* Carry out internal insurance training where necessary, to educate staff on the Group’s insurance programme with the aim of minimising risk.
* Keep up to date with current market conditions and external factors affecting the Group’s business and market sectors.



The successful candidate is likely to have the following skills, attitude and experience

* Experience with handling complex insurance portfolios -likely to have been gained over a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a commercial business environment Good understanding of general & commercial insurance Understanding of the engineering and technical sectors which the Group operates.
* Appreciation of the challenges faced by an entrepreneurial commercial business with significant growth aspirations, whilst operating within tight financial constraints.
* Excellent communication, reporting and analytical skills to provide accurate advice within the time constraints of a fast moving contractual environment.
* Excellent IT and administrative skills to ensure efficient management of documentation and production of reports.
* Ability to develop and manage good working relationships with internal stakeholders and insurer brokers through building trust, mutual respect and a reputation for providing accurate and timely advice.
