This opportunity is to join our team supporting five individuals in their own flats and the community. The people we support live with Autism, Learning Disabilities, and Challenging Behaviours, requiring specialised support and consistency.
You must hold a valid UK Driver's License for this role.
Shifts: This is a 24-hour service, so flexibility is essential. You will work a range of shifts from 7:00/8:00 am to 2:00/3:00 pm and 2:00/3:00 pm to 9:00/10:00 pm, including sleep-ins or waking nights, some weekends.
We use a digital social care record system to support daily recording, making your tasks easier and allowing more time with the People We Support.
Role Responsibilities
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. Your duties will include:
* Promoting residents' independence
* Supporting daily activities including cleaning, cooking, outings, or holidays
* Developing residents' life skills and interests
* Assisting with personal care and manual handling
* Supporting residents with medication
* Maintaining accurate records and contributing to service monitoring
The Ideal Candidate
Knowledge of learning disabilities and complex needs is beneficial but not essential. Essential qualities include:
* Passionate, caring, proactive, and enthusiastic
* Patient, calm, and non-judgemental
* A great team player with energy
* Ability to follow routines and guidelines tailored to the support needs
* Understanding that all behaviour has a reason
