The Role
This role involves light food preparation, cleaning, washing up, accepting and storing food deliveries, food storage, stock rotation, and delivering ward food supplies. The position requires heavy manual handling and pushing loaded food trolleys daily.
Core responsibilities include:
* Washing pots, pans, utensils, and dishes; general cleaning of equipment and facilities.
* Operating dishwashers.
* Stock rotation.
* Delivering patient food trolleys to wards and supplying meals and other deliveries.
* Delivering supplies to ward stores.
* Assisting with basic food preparation.
This role involves heavy manual handling and pushing loaded trolleys daily. You must adhere to food safety standards and maintain accurate records. The work schedule is five days a week, including some weekends on a rota, with potential for additional hours.
