Our client is recruiting for a Workshop / Warehouse Assistant to join their friendly team in Sheffield.
About the Company
Our client is a fast-growing manufacturing and mail order/retail company in the automotive exhaust sector. They are based at Sheffield close to Meadowhall and the M1 motorway with a substantial client base, both locally and nationally and a number of high-profile key customers in the automotive industry.
About the role
As a Workshop / Warehouse Assistant, your main responsibilities will include:
* Order processing and packing, which includes order picking from the warehouse and packaging of all mail order items for delivery to customers
* Being responsible for the cleaning, maintenance and upkeep of workshop and warehouse storage areas
* Using some workshop machinery including polishing and cutting equipment and the lifting of heavy objects. Full training will be given on workshop procedures
About you
The ideal candidate for the role of Workshop / Warehouse Assistant must be / have:
* Experience in a similar role would be advantageous
* Smart and professional in appearance
* Confident and be able to converse politely with colleagues
* Organised and have an ability to multi-task
* Highly motivated and comfortable working in a fast paced environment
* Hardworking and have a good attendance and timekeeping record
* Willing to learn new skills
About the rewards
For the role of Workshop / Warehouse Assistant there is on offer:
* A salary of£10.50 - £12.50 per hour, depending on experience
* Paid holiday - 4 weeks plus 8 days statutory holiday
* 42 working hours PW (Mon- Thurs 7.30 – 5.00 / Fri- 7.00 - 2.30)
