Role Overview:
As a Volunteer Coordinator for Lichfield Arts, you will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating our team of volunteers. Lichfield Arts is a vibrant and dynamic organisation dedicated to promoting and supporting the arts within our community. Volunteers are essential to our success, and as the Volunteer Coordinator, you will ensure that our volunteers are recruited, trained, motivated, and appreciated to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment: Collaborate with the operations team to identify volunteer needs. Advertise volunteer opportunities through various channels, including online platforms, community networks, and local events.
On-boarding: Facilitate the on-boarding process for new volunteers, including conducting interviews, providing orientation sessions, and ensuring necessary documentation is completed.
Training and Development: Implement training programmes to equip volunteers with the skills and knowledge required for their roles. Provide ongoing support and opportunities for development to enhance volunteer engagement and retention.
Scheduling: Coordinate volunteer schedules for events, performances, and ongoing projects. Ensure adequate volunteer coverage and communicate schedule changes in a timely manner.
Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for volunteers, providing regular updates, information, and support. Foster a positive and inclusive volunteer community through effective communication and engagement initiatives.
Recognition and Appreciation: Develop and implement strategies to recognise and appreciate volunteers for their contributions. In collaboration with the operational team, organise volunteer appreciation events, awards, and other recognition initiatives to celebrate achievements and foster a sense of belonging.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of volunteer information, including contact details, availability, and training records. Prepare regular reports on volunteer recruitment, retention, and engagement for review. Utilise the organisations online management tools to maximise efficiency.
Skills and Qualifications:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and time management abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people.
Previous experience in volunteer management or coordination preferred.
Knowledge of the local community and passion for the arts is desirable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software.

Pay: £12.21 per hour
