Role Overview:
* Location: Malvern (Hybrid)
* Package: £55,000 – £75,000 basic + bonus + benefits
* Industry: Defence & Advanced Technology
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Leading the capture and translation of technical requirements into robust software solutions
* Designing, developing and maintaining high-performance systems
* Driving the development of new features and resolving complex technical issues
* Collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering teams and project stakeholders
* Supporting the full software lifecycle from concept through to delivery and support
* Ensuring high coding standards through reviews, testing and best practice approaches
Main Skills Needed:
* Strong experience in software development using C++ or Java
* Solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle, particularly within complex or real-time systems
* Proven ability to lead technical workstreams or small teams
* Experience working across Linux or Windows environments
* Knowledge of configuration management and change control processes
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences
* Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar (or equivalent experience)
