Responsibilities
* Support pupils with Autism and communication needs, facilitating social interaction, emotional regulation and access to an adapted curriculum.
* Use pupil EHCPs to target individual goals and specialist intervention work.
* Collaborate with on‑site Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists.
* Help pupils make progress across communication, reading, writing, maths and wider personal development.
* Maintain a proactive, calm, resilient and confident approach to support children who benefit from clear routines and consistent communication.
Ideal for a graduate who wants meaningful long‑term experience before further study or specialist SALT training.
Requirements
* Strong degree from a reputable university
* Genuine interest in Autism, SEND, communication, child development or therapy
* Strong spoken and written communication skills
* Hard‑working, reflective and willing to learn from teachers and therapists
* Able to use initiative in a specialist classroom setting
