Job Description:
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
* Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
* Post-registration qualification relevant to functional specialty, e.g., Advanced Scrub Practitioner or Surgical First Assistant qualification [for scrub leads].
* ENB 998 and/or mentorship course.
* Approved / recognised anaesthetic course.
* ILS.
* Orthopaedic skill.
* ILM3.
* Previous experience working within an acute healthcare environment.
* Experience managing and leading a clinical team.
Duties of this role include:
* Deliver safe, quality care for patients during their peri-operative phase.
* Support, coordinate, and assist in managing and organizing care within the operating department.
* Provide quality planned care during the peri-operative phase, ensuring team members deliver appropriate clinical and managerial leadership.
* Lead in the delivery of patient care during a list or specified period.
* Ensure patient safety checks are carried out according to policy and that all practitioners adhere to it.
* Contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
* Develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of oneself and others.
* Promote evidence-based practice within scope.
* Apply legislation, policies, and procedures correctly.
* Achieve objectives while demonstrating CHG behaviors at all times.
