Job Description - Employment Support Advisor

Want to be part of our community? We're currently recruiting for an Employment Support Advisor to join our Employability team.

What you'll achieve in the role:

The overall purpose of this role is to coach, guide and enable all participants referred to the Work smart programme, to access employment, better paid work, or training

Key responsibilities include:

* Work with project participants to assess barriers to employment and devise a support plan to get them closer to the job market, into work, training or education.
* Work with colleagues and partners to ensure that all participants receive the necessary support to overcome their barriers to work, monitoring progress and outcomes against targets and milestones.
* Liaise with employers to identify volunteering, work placement opportunities, and provide support to host organisations to be able to provide safe working environment that meet the needs of project participants.
* Make referrals to specialist support providers where the project is unable to meet all needs of participants.

What you'll bring to Raven:

For this role, we are looking for someone with the following:

* Understanding needs of vulnerable or disadvantaged groups
* Experience of working with vulnerable or disadvantaged groups
* Experience in the support sector (Social housing, education, recruitment or similar)
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
* A full, clean driving licence
