Hours: 14.8 hours per week, 2‑year fixed term
Role Overview
As a Specialist Dietitian Band 6 (Community Prescribing), you will support appropriate prescribing of nutritional products. Your clinical caseload will primarily involve malnourished care home residents and patients newly discharged from hospital.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate the dietetic service to Edinburgh Council Care Homes.
* Develop and deliver the Care Home training programme in collaboration with primary care colleagues.
* Supervise junior team members, including dietetic support workers.
* Participate in student training clinical placements.
* Engage in CPD, clinical governance and peer support, including a supervision framework and annual appraisals.
Requirements
* Current PVG Scheme membership or record for the required regulatory group (child and/or adult).
