About the role
A leading, long-established RIBA-chartered architectural practice is seeking a talented BIM Manager to join its team. With multiple studio locations, this award-winning practice delivers innovative, sustainable, and high-quality design solutions across sectors including residential, healthcare, transport, education, commercial, emergency services, urban design, and master planning.
This role will lead the implementation and management of Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes across the practice, ensuring best practice is applied consistently from concept to completion.
Key responsibilities
* Develop and implement BIM standards: Maintain and improve BIM protocols, templates, and workflows in line with industry standards.
* Project BIM coordination: Manage BIM Execution Plans (BEP) across multiple projects, ensuring model integrity, data accuracy, and collaborative workflows.
* Model quality assurance: Conduct regular model audits, clash detection, and quality reviews to ensure design and technical compliance.
* Technical support and training: Provide hands-on BIM training, guidance, and mentoring to project teams, fostering effective BIM adoption.
* Collaborate with project teams: Work closely with architects, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless digital coordination.
* Technology management: Research, evaluate, and introduce new digital tools that enhance project delivery and studio efficiency.
* Reporting and documentation: Produce BIM progress reports, manage data deliverables, and maintain documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills and experience
* Proven experience as a BIM Manager or Senior BIM Coordinator in an architectural or multidisciplinary environment.
* Advanced proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and BIM collaboration platforms (including BIM 360).
* Strong knowledge of ISO 19650 standards and best practices.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail when managing complex digital models.
* Demonstrated ability to lead BIM strategies for large-scale, technically complex projects.
* Strong communication skills for engaging with internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Proactive, collaborative approach with a drive for innovation and continuous improvement.
* Experience with data management tools is advantageous.
