An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our fast-paced Response Repairs team as a Repairs Coordinator.
Responsive Repairs are responsible for the provision of quality day-to-day repairs and maintenance of Bristol City Council's housing stock and the repairing and refurbishment of empty homes to bring them back to a quality lettable standard. Our aim is to carry out the right repair first time within agreed timescales and to provide safe, secure, habitable properties that our residents can be proud of.
What will I be doing?
You will be arranging repairs for Bristol City Council residents ensuring that they happen "Right First Time", you also be the main point of contact for our colleagues on-site providing support and dealing with any issues they may have.
You will be the person to ensure the repairs go as planned on the day coming up with solutions to problems whilst keeping tenants informed of the status of their repair.
You will work alongside a team of Trade Specific Managers and Supervisors, as well as other departments in Housing and Landlord Services such as Tenancy Management and the Citizen Contact Centre, our aim is to always provide fantastic service to our tenants ensuring their repairs are delivered in a timely manner and to an excellent standard.
What do I need to have?
We are looking for people who thrive in a busy environment; A customer service background is essential as you will be speaking to Bristol City Council residents and stakeholders on a daily basis;
You will need to be a team player who is able to communicate effectively with colleagues across all departments;
This is a fast paced role and you have to be able to work under pressure and feel confident with prioritising your tasks throughout the day; Some knowledge of repairs and workflow systems would be beneficial but it's not essential as we will provide full training.
Flexibility to work a 37-hour week between the hours of 8am - 6pm
We need people who are confident with learning in house bespoke IT systems as well as having a good grasp of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Outlook, Excel & Teams, ideally, we would expect candidates to have some awareness of social housing issues and a good understanding of Equalities, Diversity and Inclusion policies.
