Offer description

Victoria Hospital

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate and highly motivated Clinical Nurse Educator to join our Admissions Unit. This is a pivotal leadership role for a registered nurse who is passionate about developing people, embedding high standards of care and supporting a culture of continuous learning in a fast paced clinical environment.

The Admissions Unit is a dynamic and complex area of practice, and this role is central to ensuring that our nursing workforce is confident, competent and supported to deliver safe, effective and person centred care from the point of admission.

As Clinical Nurse Educator, you will provide expert clinical leadership and educational support across the unit. You will work closely with senior nurses, multidisciplinary teams and organisational education colleagues to ensure learning in practice is meaningful, responsive and aligned with service needs.
You will lead on the planning, delivery and evaluation of clinical education within the unit, supporting staff across all stages of their professional journey from induction, preceptorship and leadership development. Acting as a visible role model, you will promote professional accountability, evidence based practice and reflective learning.

This role offers the opportunity to influence practice at both local and service level. You will contribute to quality improvement, workforce development and patient safety initiatives, using education as a driver for sustained improvement. You will support the development and assessment of clinical competencies, identify learning needs, and ensure education is inclusive, accessible and responsive to the challenges of an acute admissions setting.

We are looking for a nurse who brings credibility, warmth and confidence to their leadership style; someone who is approachable, adaptable and able to inspire others. You will have substantial post registrations experience in an acute or admissions environment, alongside experience of supporting learning in practice. PG Certificate in health professions and education (or a willingness to work towards one) is desirable, as is experience of service improvement and collaborative working.

In return, we offer a supportive leadership team, opportunities for ongoing professional development, and the chance to make a tangible difference to both patient experience and staff wellbeing. This is a rewarding role for someone who wants to shape culture, nurture talent and leave a lasting impact on the quality of care delivered within the Admissions Unit.
