We have a very exciting opportunity for a Health & Safety Advisor to join our team at Together Housing Group. In this key role, you’ll support the delivery of a safe, compliant and positive working environment across the Group. Working closely with managers and colleagues, you’ll provide expert advice, carry out site inspections and help embed a strong health and safety culture across all areas of the organisation.
This is a varied and hands‑on role where you’ll have real visibility and the opportunity to influence how health and safety is delivered day to day.

Requirements
* Provide specialist health and safety advice and guidance across designated departments.
* Support managers to develop and review risk assessments, ensuring hazards are identified and reduced.
* Carry out site visits, audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with legislation and Group policies.
* Advise on personal risk assessments, DSE assessments and lone working practices.
* Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, implementing effective preventative measures.
* Support in the delivery of health and safety training to colleagues.
* Support the development and continuous improvement of health and safety policies, procedures and training materials.
* Promote a strong health and safety culture through effective communication and awareness.
* Work collaboratively with Trade Unions, managers and teams to ensure compliance and best practice.
* Assist with claims investigations and support health surveillance activities.
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
We Are Looking for Someone Who Has
* Proven experience providing professional health and safety advice within a complex organisation.
* Strong knowledge of current health and safety legislation and best practice.
* Experience investigating incidents and implementing control measures.
* The ability to influence, challenge and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.ber
* Experience carrying out audits, inspections and producing detailed reports.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.
* A Level 3 Health & Safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH General Certificate).
* IOSH membership (TechIOSH or above) and evidence of continuous professional development.
Benefits
* Starting salary of £37,977 per annum
* 27 days holiday (rising to 32 over 5 years’ service) + bank holidays
* Hybrid work arrangement: You will work 37 hours each week, Monday through Friday.
* This position offers flexible working arrangements. In this role, you will be expected to attend the office for team collaboration once or twice a week. The remaining days will be spent either on‑site, at another office location, or working from home. For example, you might work from the BB1 office one day a week, spend two days on‑site or at a different office, and work from home for the other two days. Please note that regular travel across all Together Group offices and sites is essential. You will need a full driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use, as travel is a key component of this role.
