Would you love to be part of a professional engineering management team that maintains and repairs a modern and varied fleet of vehicles?
If so, we are looking for a Workshop Manager to assist the Engineering Manager in the day to day management of the engineering function at our garage in Exeter. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our fleet of buses are maintained to the standard required by the Company and the DVSA.
Your role as Workshop Manager is not just about achieving maximum vehicle availability and continually improving standards, you will also have a direct influence on Health & Safety compliance/culture, employee wellbeing and budgetary control. You should have a thorough understanding of mechanical engineering and vehicle maintenance procedures for large vehicles, preferably PCVs, as well as knowledge of electrical engineering, bodywork construction and basic stores procedures. The post holder should have the ability to gain a Transport CPC, if requested to do so. The ability to plan, prioritise, analyse and make decisions is also essential as well as an up-to-date understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
