Job Overview
CK Group are recruiting for an EHS Engineer, on behalf of medical equipment manufacturer based in Plymouth on a permanent basis.
In this role, the successful candidate will work as part of a team to ensure the site complies with all relevant Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability legislation.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Assist management in implementing and maintaining the standards required of the Health and Safety at Work Act, and all other codes of practice and relevant standards.
* Act as the key contact and facilitator for external visits and audits from relevant agencies.
* Establish appropriate processes and controls to ensure that the site will maintain ISO14001 certification.
* Carry out risk assessments on assembly equipment new and old, ensuring that the safety and wellbeing is not compromised.
* Create COSHH risk assessments and maintain the site's COSHH risk assessment database.
* Identify any needs to carry out Health and Safety training across the site.
Candidate requirements - skills and experience
* NEBOSH, IOSH or NVQ H&S qualification or equivalent experience is essential.
* Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
* Engineering qualification would be an advantage.
* Project management and/or team leadership experience would be an advantage.
