Mid Market Underwriter - Salary is Competitive depending on experience

Aviva is looking for a Property & Liability Underwriter to join our local team to proactively develop a panel of brokers and grow their commercial book of business profitably.
About the role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day underwriting activities and using data insights to provide comprehensive customer solutions. You will manage end-to-end dealings with brokers and customers, collaborating with the team to support the lead trading underwriter and underwriting leader in delivering excellent outcomes. There will also be opportunities to work towards underwriting license levels appropriate to your job grade. You will manage your own book of business, meeting set targets and KPIs.
Skills and experience required:
* Experience in Property & Liability underwriting is essential.
* Excellent communication, listening, time management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a large organization.
* CII qualifications or working towards them. Good knowledge of FCA rules and relevant regulations.
* Ability to analyze risks and communicate effectively with brokers and customers.
* Visibility in the local market with brokers and customers.
