We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivatedindividual to lead our Haematology and Oncology clinical Service and be a leadcontributor to developing Pharmacist-led clinics to review and prescribechemotherapy for patients at the trust. As well as being able to demonstratestrong leadership and service development skills, you will be able to exerciseadvanced clinical skills by participating in ward rounds and within MDTdiscussions. Strong communication skill and team working is necessary as youwill be working in close collaboration with the Aseptics Services Department,Haematology Ward, Chemotherapy Unit and Western Park Outreach Clinics.
Main duties of the job
To manage, provide professional leadership andact as the lead Pharmacist for Haematology and Oncology clinical services atBHNFT, ensuring compliance with national and local guidelines relevant to thearea.
To clinically verify chemotherapyprescriptions and where necessary advising and liaising with oncologists andhaematologists regarding dose alterations and optimisation.
To be an active member of the Haematology wardround and various MDT discussions
To work closely with the Aseptic ServicesDepartment to ensure treatment is Manufactured and released in a timely manner.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Vocational Masters Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
* Membership of Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain
* Diploma in clinical pharmacy or equivalent
* Willingness to work towards non-medical prescribing qualification
Experience
* Previous clinical experience in Haemato-oncology and treatment of solid tumours and SACT trained
* Broad clinical experience
* Previous participation in multidisciplinary teams
* Experience with SACT prescribing system CHEMOCARE
Skills and Abilities
* Good written and oral communication skills
* Ability to work alone and as part of a team
* Able to supervise and direct junior staff
* Ability to prioritise workload
* Teaching/tutoring/mentoring skills
* Able to work with drug budget information
* Protocol and procedure writing
* Ability to manage budgets and deliver on cost improvement programmes
* Ability to affect and manage change
