Requirements
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Senior Data Engineer with a multifaceted skill set. As a key member of our development team, you will:
1. Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines while providing technical leadership. Data is at the heart of everything we do. The pipelines you build will power our analytics, machine learning and product features
2. Lead and enhance our Data Lake and Data Warehouse to enable informed decision-making through data-driven insights
3. Develop highly efficient and well-tuned Data products to ensure top performance, scalability, and reliability
4. Stay up to date with data engineering trends, leading the evaluation and implementation of new technologies and tools to enhance data processing capabilities
5. Ensure unit tests have sufficient coverage, that code analysis is green, and mentor others in quality practices
6. Lead implementation of secure design principles according to policies and standards of Information Security
7. Participate in architectural decisions and technical planning for data initiatives
You’ll have most of the following key skills and experience:
8. At least 5 years' experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering roles
9. Excellent knowledge of SQL and Python, with proven optimization experience
10. Experience with API development using Python frameworks such as FastAPI
11. Strong expertise in implementing programming best practices and principles
12. Advanced proficiency in relational and NoSQL databases
13. Experience with event streaming technologies such as Kafka
14. Experience developing and supporting robust, automated and reliable data pipelines at scale
15. Strong experience with data modelling techniques and data visualization tools
16. Experience in implementing data quality frameworks and monitoring systems
17. Experience in designing scalable data architectures and platforms, knowledge of security and compliance requirements
Your first 90 days:
18. Review your onboarding plan with your manager and develop an action plan to achieve your goals
19. Collaborate with the team and participate to the roadmap
20. Build your internal network across all departments
