We are seeking a proactive and creative Research Communications and Events Officer to support the delivery of high-quality communications and events across our research and programme activities. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in promoting impactful research to a wide range of audiences.
About The Role
Working closely with programme and research colleagues, you will help ensure the departments outputs are engaging, accessible and aligned with our brand. You will contribute to digital, print and event communications, helping to showcase our work to stakeholders, partners and funders.
Key Responsibilities
Designing programme and research outputs using InDesign templates and collaborating with colleagues to deliver final products
Updating and maintaining content on the website, including publishing new research outputs
Coordinating, drafting and publishing news items for the website
Managing LinkedIn posts to promote programme and research activities and outputs
Supporting the delivery of online and in-person events, including liaising with venues and suppliers, drafting invitations, designing publicity materials and tracking invitations
Contributing to wider communications projects, including short video content
Providing data and statistics for reporting to governance groups and funder
Ensuring all communications and outputs adhere to accessibility and branding guidance
Supporting additional communications and events tasks as required
About You
You will be an organised and detail-oriented communications professional with experience working in a research environment. You will be comfortable managing multiple projects and producing high-quality content for different platforms and audiences.
Essential Criteria
Experience in communications for a research programme
Experience supporting online and in-person events within a research setting
Experience across print, digital and social media
Experience producing effective web content and managing websites
Experience communicating research to non-specialist audiences
