The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the production processes within a FMCG industry and must be able to supervise the Production Engineering workshop, to support the repair, maintenance and set up of IS machines and oversee the job change activities.

This role has the opportunity for leadership development, including internal training and externally accredited programmes to support your performance and career progression.


Responsibilities:

· Respond and deal with many aspects of people management, including prioritisation and delegation of workload, to ensure operations run smoothly and efficiently as possible

· Support the implementation of continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and best practices from OEG

· Manage all resources to meet departmental and job change targets

· Support the maintenance and repair of IS machines and related equipment

· Keep accurate and effective records for both operational and people management needs e.g. time and attendance

· Supervise the preparation and actual job change so that work is carried out as efficiently as possible in order to minimise downtime


Required skills / qualifications:

· The ability to lead effectively and have the confidence to communicate to all levels of the team within the plant

· In-depth knowledge of IS machines and related operational equipment and systems

· Have the ability to read and interpret technical drawings

· Lean Manufacturing – LSS, 5S, SMED, TPM

· A commitment towards continuous improvement, with a flexible attitude
