Our Legal team plays a key role in enabling safe, scalable growth across Vintage Cash Cow and Arcavindi. Based in the UK, the team partners closely with operations, commercial, product, and finance to provide pragmatic, business-first legal support. We’re in an exciting phase of growth, expanding into new markets, refining our customer proposition, and strengthening our regulatory foundations, making this a high-impact role with real visibility across the business.
About The Role
As UK Legal Counsel, you’ll act as a trusted advisor across the business, supporting day-to-day legal matters while helping shape our legal framework as we scale. Reporting into our CEO, you’ll own UK legal compliance, contracts, and risk management, ensuring we operate confidently and responsibly. This is a hands‑on role with broad exposure, ideal for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and working closely with non‑legal teams to solve real business challenges.

Getting Started
* Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across operations, commercial, and leadership.
* Get up to speed on our business model, regulatory landscape, and key contractual frameworks.
* Review and assess current legal processes, identifying immediate risks and quick wins.
Establishing Your Impact
* Take ownership of UK legal matters, becoming the go‑to advisor for internal teams.
* Improve contract processes, templates, and turnaround times.
* Strengthen compliance across consumer, trading, and data protection regulations.
Driving Excellence
* Embed scalable legal processes that support growth without slowing the business down.
* Proactively identify risks and provide clear, commercially sound recommendations.
* Contribute to strategic decisions, ensuring legal considerations are built in early.
Key Goals & Objectives
* Ensure 100% compliance with UK regulatory requirements across operations.
* Maintain high-quality legal documentation and risk mitigation standards.
* Partner effectively with Commercial, Product, and Operations teams.
* Drive continuous improvement in legal processes and governance.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide clear, practical legal advice across commercial, operational, and regulatory matters.
* Draft, review, and negotiate contracts (suppliers, partners, customers).
* Oversee compliance with UK laws including consumer rights, trading standards, and data protection (UK GDPR).
* Manage legal risk, disputes, and external counsel where required.
* Develop and maintain legal templates, policies, and frameworks.
* Collaborate cross‑functionally to support new initiatives, products, and market expansion.
* Promote a culture of compliance, clarity, and accountability across the business.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent).
* Experience in an in‑house legal role or strong commercial exposure in private practice.
* Strong knowledge of UK commercial, consumer, and data protection law.
* Knowledge of AML and labour law.
* Proven ability to balance legal risk with commercial outcomes.
* Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
* Highly organised, pragmatic, and solutions‑focused.
* Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, scaling environment.
