Surgical Care Practice sits within the School of Allied Health and welcomed its first cohort in 2015. A new 3‑year innovative curriculum was approved in 2023, and started teaching in January 2024 on our Chelmsford Campus. The Faculty of Health, Social Care and Medicine has achieved Royal College of Surgeons University Programme Accreditation and is committed to growing the SCP course within the surgical course portfolio.
The right individual will have a Degree or relevant professional qualification and extensive post‑qualification CPD and/or a higher degree. The post will involve preparing and teaching on both the SCP MSc and the SFA CPD modules. These courses utilise skills, simulation‑based learning alongside underpinning theory. You would join an established, committed team that is enthusiastic about developing their profession. You will contribute to the supervision of research students to develop the profession and its associated evidence base.
