The Vacancy A vacancy has arisen within the Operational Support Team, Older People and Physical Disability Social Work Team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant and successful administrative department and you will be part of a fantastic and highly motivated team that is determined to provide the smooth running and support to Adult Social Care teams. The post holder will play a key role in the successful running of the team including supporting social workers, case workers and other social care staff with administration support. The post holder will have the opportunity to experience working in a front line social work team and develop an understanding of social work with adults through an administration role. The post holder may also be required to support front door social work team and/ or Mental Health and Learning Disability Team as needed. During your role you will undertake a full range of clerical duties including word processing, use of spreadsheets, maintenance of database systems, general clerical work, finance related work, reception of visitors, telephone switchboard duties, minute taking and other duties relevant to the service area. You should possess good communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to meet deadlines and work as part of a team. Prior knowledge of social work is not required although an interest in this field of work would be advantageous.
