We are looking for a Theatre Support Worker within the Theatre Department at the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital.
This role involves supporting clinical teams during surgical procedures and day‑surgery activities, ensuring that all equipment and instruments are safely prepared and maintained.
Responsibilities
* Provide assistance to the multidisciplinary team in delivering a high standard of patient care within theatres, day surgery and other departments.
* Pack and unpack instrument trolleys and deliver sterile items to theatres and other departments.
* Track instruments using a scanning device onto the T‑DOC operating system.
* Provide patient transportation services within the Surgical Directorate, collecting and returning patients from and to other wards and departments.
* Assist theatre staff in delivering direct patient care within the operating theatre by acting as the circulating practitioner during surgical procedures, or working within the Post Anaesthetic Care Unit.
