Role: Accounts Payable Administrator
Location: Peterborough
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Salary: Up to £26,000, depending on experience

The Role

We are looking for aAccounts Payable Administratorto join our vibrant team and play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our finance department. Who you are
You’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with numbers and people. Whether you’re an experienced professional or looking to start your career in finance, we welcome individuals who are passionate about learning and making a difference.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
1. Solid IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications
2. Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to relay information clearly and work effectively with others
3. A genuine interest in working in a high-volume, high-transaction environment
4. The ability to build relationships with suppliers and colleagues and collaborate on specific projects
5. A self-starter mentality, able to manage your own time and workload effectively
6. Ideally, at least 2 years of relevant experience in a large accounting office (automotive retail sector experience is a plus, but not essential)
7. Knowledge of the Kerridge/Keyloop dealer management system would be an advantage
8. A willingness to learn and pursue a career in finance (strong numeracy skills and prior experience in a busy office environment are key)
What you’ll do
In your role as a Accounts Payable Administrator, you’ll be responsible for managing the purchase ledger and supporting the finance team in meeting key financial deadlines. Your key responsibilities will include:
9. Accurately completing administrative tasks to meet business financial targets and deadlines
10. Managing all aspects of the purchase ledger process
11. Effectively planning and organizing your time to ensure tasks are completed efficiently
12. Ensuring compliance with Group benchmarks and striving for excellence in ledger maintenance
13. Raising and processing payments to suppliers
14. Registering and processing invoices, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up to date
