Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide assistance and care to children in need. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and possess strong communication skills. This role involves implementing care plans, supporting daily activities, and ensuring the well-being of the children under your care.
Duties
* Assist children with daily living activities, including personal care and hygiene
* Implement individual care plans tailored to each child's needs
* Provide emotional support and encouragement to promote positive development
* Facilitate engaging activities that enhance learning and social skills
* Maintain clear communication with parents, guardians, and other professionals involved in the child's care
* Document progress and any changes in behaviour or health as required
* Drive children to appointments or activities as needed, ensuring their safety at all times
* Utilise IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes
Qualifications
* Previous experience working with children is essential
* A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties
* Knowledge of childcare practices and child development principles
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children and families
* Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately
* Proficient in IT skills for documentation and reporting tasks
