Position Overview
As a Door Host at KONG, you are the first point of contact for our guests. Your primary role is to ensure every visitor receives a warm, friendly, and professional welcome. By managing bookings, greeting customers, and coordinating seating, you set the tone for their experience, making it an essential role in our venue.
Key Responsibilities:
* Warm Welcome: Greet every guest with a smile and a positive attitude, ensuring a great first impression.
* Booking Management: Efficiently check in guests using the booking system, confirm reservation details, and communicate with waitstaff to ensure a smooth seating process.
* Table Coordination: Inform guests of their reservation times and escort them to their tables. If the situation allows, accommodate requests for extended booking times.
* Accommodating Walk-ins: Welcome walk-in guests, seat them if space is available, or offer alternative seating options such as the bar or outdoor terraces.
* Communication: Notify the waitstaff of any special requests, allergies, or booking notes to ensure a seamless dining experience.
* Organisation: Maintain a tidy and organised reception area. Manage bookings effectively to optimise table turnover and minimise wait times.
* Guest Interaction: Engage courteously with guests, providing information about the venue, addressing any concerns, and ensuring they feel valued and attended to.
* Table Readiness: Ensure that tables are ready for the next booking by giving guests a 15-minute notice when their time is nearing an end, and coordinate with staff to reset tables promptly.
Requirements:
* Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to manage guest expectations and multitask in a busy environment.
* Organisation: Strong organisational skills to handle multiple bookings and guest interactions efficiently.
* Availability: Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Professionalism: Maintain a friendly, polite, and professional demeanour at all times.

Experience:
* Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)
