HGV Class 2 Driver
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Avonmouth, Bristol.
This is a fantastic opportunity, offering excellent rates of pay.
Shifts:
Working 5 days out of 7 - will include weekends.
Start time: 07:30
Rates of pay:
£18.77 an hour

Day-to-day duties:
As a HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include (but not be limited to):
Delivering to stores – approximately eleven drops per shift
Loading and unloading of cargo
Operating and driving Category C vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations
Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured properly
Adhering to traffic laws and regulations
Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
Essential skills:
To be successful as a HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:
A valid UK Category C Driving Licence
A minimum of 12 - 24 months' experience driving Category C vehicles
No more than six penalty points for minor infringements, with no major endorsement codes
A valid UK CPC card and Digi card
Good spoken and written English
Punctuality and excellent time-keeping skills
A solid understanding of traffic laws and regulations
Effective communication skills
Desirable experience:
Previous multi-drop delivery experience
Training:
Driver's assessment must be completed before starting
Industry related training provided and ongoing support throughout
