Job Description
During the course of the apprenticeship you will cover the full range of activities undertaken by the Credit Control Department in our small team in St Neots. This will include but it not limited to:
1. Matching and clearing credit and debit note contra-entries
2. Posting customer remittances and credit card transactions to the sales ledger and investigating unallocated amounts and deductions
3. Preparing and issuing monthly statements and dunning letters to meet agreed timetable
4. Tracking payment performance and chasing overdue accounts
5. Participating in the development of an effective credit management system
6. Recording disputed items, liaising with customers and colleagues to ensure the resolution of disputed accounts
Qualifications
7. qualified to A level standard or equivalent
8. excellent spoken and written standard of English
9. excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a sometimes pressurised environment
10. excellent MS Office skills
11. flexible approach to work
12. excellent prioritisation skills
13. keen to learn and able to drive own learning and development
14. able to deal with sometimes challenging behaviour
