The Manchester Deansgate Hotel will fully transition to the InterContinental brand by 2027, enhancing your stay with our signature luxury and service.\n\nAs a Sous Chef for our 2 Rosette Podium Restaurant, your day-to-day will be driven by our Guests needs, however you can expect to cover the following duties and responsibilities (not all encompassing) …\n\nWorking closely with our Restaurant and Bars manager to ensure a coordinated F&B approach\n\nBeing accountable for the Kitchen operation for Podium kitchen including production, cleanliness and safe systems of work in the absence of our Executive Sous Chef and Executive Chef\n\nSupporting to create and developing dishes on our menu to celebrate local cuisine and keep up to date with food trends \n\nDevelop and support our Chef team, training and upskilling our Chefs to ensure everyone is able to provide excellent culinary experiences for our guests\n\nWe are searching for a true service superstar, someone who thrives in providing our Guests with an excellent service throughout their stay. In addition to this, we are looking for someone who has….\n\nAvailability to work 40 hours per week (5 shifts) across a variety of shifts based on business needs\n\nTo have been a Senior Chef De Partie or Sous Chef within a similar sized property\n\nAs this role is based in our 2 Rosette Podium restaurant, working in a Rosette credited kitchen is highly desirable \n\nTo have completed level 3 Food Safety certification and have knowledge in HACCP\n\nKnowledge of appropriate systems to support operational processes– such as Micros Simphony (or relevant POS) and Procure Wizard \n\nKnowledge of appropriate working to brand standards relating to food and the ability to create and deliver appropriate menus, using appropriate suppliers and product\n\nTo be part of external networks and up to date with critical issues and trends in food\n\nTechnical skills to work on every section for every service period in the kitchen\n\nAt IHG Hotels and Resorts, we believe that no two individuals are alike, and we celebrate that by offering our colleagues a wide range of additional benefits to support their unique needs and aspirations.
