About the Role:
Do you have a passion for great teaching and learning and are you keen to help others develop their practice? If so, a great opportunity has arisen to lead on our teacher training and professional development programmes. This role will work as part of our Teaching, Learning and Quality team, supporting colleagues from across the organisation and external trainee teachers to improve and strengthen their teaching practice.
If you have experience of delivering high quality teacher training and development and have a strong track record in delivering exceptional teaching, then we want to hear from you.
About the Organisation:
The College operates across three main campuses in Stevenage and Hitchin, employing over 650 staff. With a turnover of £30m, the college provides learning opportunities to over 10,000 students each year from study programmes for 16-18 year olds and apprenticeships through to adult provision locally, regionally and nationally. We were judged Good by Ofsted at our last inspection in December 2023, with outstanding features.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Main Roles and Responsibilities
3. Lead, deliver and assess on our teacher education programmes to internal and external audiences (including Award and Diploma in Education & Training, Level 3 and Level 4 TAQA)
4. Lead on recruitment of internal and external participants to our teacher education programmes
5. Provide group and one-to-one coaching support to teachers
6. Support the design and delivery of professional development sessions, staff conferences and organisation wide development on a planned and ad hoc basis
7. Support curriculum areas with their delivery of professional development programmes
8. Work with the E-Learning Co-ordinator to improve the digital skills of teachers
9. Work with members of the Teaching, Learning & Quality and Student Experience teams on quality improvement projects and activity
General duties
10. To contribute to the effective management and promotion of equality and diversity
11. To work in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act, ensuring the College is a safe environment for staff, students and visitors.
12. To promote with staff and students the importance of safeguarding the welfare of children and vulnerable adults they are responsible for and come into contact with.
13. To work at all times in accordance with North Hertfordshire College’s policies and procedures.
