Waking night shifts available (flexible) Every Sunday 21:00 - 09:00. Pay £16.50 per hour on weeknights. £18.50 per hour on weekend nights. £37.00 per hour on Bank holiday nights. Plus optional urgent last minute cover at double pay. Personal Assistant's needed, to support a 33-year-old male (Mitch). The client has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and is a full-time wheelchair user. The client requires full 1-to-1 support with all of his day-to-day care needs from a competent team of PA’s, as directed by the client. The ideal candidate would be compassionate and positive, understand their role fully and take a person centred approach to care. The client works as a researcher and runs a lifestyle blog. He lives with his 2 children and friendly dog Bella (Labrador). The clients children have a Nanny, to facilitate the clients parental role and the children will not be your direct responsibility. The client enjoys listening to music, going to concerts or festivals, going to the cinema and spending time with family and friends Requirements - Enhanced DBS check (can be provided). - Full UK driver's licence. - Online training on Microsoft Teams (provided). Duties - Toileting. - Washing, dressing and oral hygiene. - Moving and handling. - Hoist transfers with a ceiling hoist (x1 PA). - Administration of medication and completing digital MAR / comms each shift. - Food preparation and support with eating and drinking (doesn't have a PEG feeding tube). - Domestic tasks i.e. cleaning, tidying and washing etc. - Support with social and work events. - Driving a large wheelchair accessible vehicle (Peugeot Boxer).
