Overview
JOB PURPOSE: To assist the Finance Director in all areas of Management Accounting for the UK business and to provide support to the Benelux business.
Key responsibilities
* Prepare and analyse weekly and month-end margin reports, providing insight into trends and variances.
* Review overhead costs to ensure all relevant expenses are accurately captured. Identify and investigate variances against budget.
* Analyse manufacturing costs, including yield performance. Collaborate with the Operations team to identify issues and drive cost efficiencies.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve stock control processes and enhance stock turn performance.
* Support the business with budgeting and to produce regular forecasts.
* Produce daily and monthly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports. Partner with departments to interpret data and drive continuous improvement.
* Continuously seek opportunities to enhance and streamline reporting processes, ensuring outputs provide actionable insights for the business.
* Assist with the preparation of monthly and year-end financial reports, including the IDL pack, intercompany reconciliations, and notes to the accounts.
* Maintain and manage the fixed asset register, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting policies.
* Lead the preparation and coordination of the annual audit process, working closely with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
* Provide cover for the Financial Accountant when required.
* Take an active role in supporting and implementing system enhancements and business process improvements.
* Undertake any other tasks and duties as required by the Company.
Qualifications
* Fully qualified CIMA
Skills & Experience
* Experience in management accounting, reporting, budgeting and forecasting
* Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
* Advanced Excel and strong experience in working with ERP systems
* Ability to communicate financial information to non-finance colleagues
* Organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities
* Experience working within the manufacturing sector
* Knowledge of financial modelling and process improvement
* Commercial awareness and adaptability
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work collaboratively across teams
