Substance Misuse Nurse/Worker
Band 5 position working with the South West team in Guildford, providing individual and group support to service users with drug and alcohol addiction. The post is based at Laurel House, Farnham Road Hospital, and requires travel across the surrounding area using a car.
Main responsibilities
* Proactively reduce harm in line with the recovery agenda and advocate for service users’ physical, mental health and social care needs.
* Provide 1:1 key work support and group work support as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Deliver interventions and satellite clinic services across the area, including travel to varied settings.
Qualifications
* Diploma in health or social care related subject.
* Evidence of continued professional development in relevant subject areas.
* RMN or RGN qualification.
Experience
* Minimum of 1 year working in substance misuse.
* Experience in providing group facilitation.
Other requirements
* Right to work in the UK for the duration of the role.
* Subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
* Must be able to travel to and work in a variety of settings.
Salary
£33,677 to £40,996 a year inclusive of 5% Fringe HCAS, paid pro rata.
