IT Payments Architect – Leading Payments Provider – London (Hybrid, Contract)
Our client, a leading global payments solution provider, is seeking a highly experienced IT Payments Architect for a day-rate contract role based in London. This is a hybrid position, requiring 3 days per week in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
* Define architecture reference models and integration strategies.
* Lead discovery and design phases across client initiatives.
* Collaborate with senior stakeholders (CTO, CIO, CDO) across multiple geographies.
* Drive innovation and alignment in payments architecture.
* 10+ years in senior IT roles, ideally as a Payments Solution/Enterprise Architect.
* Deep expertise in SWIFT, CHAPS, international payments, and MT to MX mapping.
* Strong understanding of ISO20022, Java, microservices, cloud, DevOps, and agile methodologies.
Additional Skills:
* Familiarity with SOAP/REST APIs, messaging systems, AI, blockchain, and modern integration technologies.
