An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Marisco Medical Practice as a Phlebotomist.
We aspire to offer exceptional care to our 14,500 patients and are innovative in our approach to developing new teams and pathways to ever improve how general practice is delivered.
We have a friendly and supportive team of more than 90 staff, with GP's, 2 long term locums, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Practice Paramedic, Practice Nurses, Nursing Associates, Healthcare Assistants, Phlebotomist, Clinical Pharmacist, Counsellors and our range of administrative staff.
We are seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Nursing Team for 16 hours per week on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will undertake an Enhanced DBS check and be subject to pre-employment checks.
A full clean driving licence is essential for this role.
Main duties of the job
To provide a safe, efficient phlebotomy service to patients in the surgery and in patients homes.
Previous experience of phlebotomy is essential for this position.
Previous experience of SystmOne and Web V preferred.

Job responsibilities
To undertake the delivery of Phlebotomy service in General Practice and in patient homes, working with the doctors and nursing team to bring medical services to the patients.
Collection of samples of blood in accordance with training and procedures and ensuring correct labelling of samples
Maintenance of infection control
To record patients' clinical data on the computer
Maintain confidentiality
Liaise with clinicians with any concerns
Effectively manage own time, workload and resources
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Qualified in Venepuncture/Phlebotomy
* Full clean driving licence
* Previous Web V experience
