About Our Client
A growing manufacturing and distribution business in Scunthorpe is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to support the Financial Controller. This is an on-site role due to confidentiality requirements and would suit someone available at short notice. Temp-to-perm will be considered.
Job Description
Key responsibilities include:
3. Preparing monthly management accounts and management information packs
4. Supporting month-end processes and general ledger work
5. Raising and processing payments and ensuring accurate financial data
6. Managing debtor collections and supporting creditor management
7. Monitoring and improving cashflow; understanding cash cycles and cashflow statements
8. Providing financial support to the FC and FD as required
9. Assisting in the implementation of a new Oracle ERP system (go-live in ~6 months)
10. Contributing to a PE-influenced, leveraged environment following a recent LBO
The Successful Applicant
What We're Looking For
11. Strong management accounting experience, ideally within manufacturing, distribution, or similar product-based environments
12. Excellent understanding of cashflow, cash cycles, and working capital management
13. Digitally savvy with the ability to support systems change (ERP experience a bonus)
14. Comfortable working in a small, hands-on finance team
15. Exposure to PE-backed or leveraged environments is desirable
16. Able to start quickly, with interviews arranged swiftly (initial virtual, follow-up on-site)
